SHEELAH MUNFORD 1929-2010

Sheelah was a valued member of the Guild. She only started weaving in her forties, after she had five children, and first joined the East Sussex Guild. She moved here in 1994 and joined our Guild. Sheelah was very supportive of Guild activities and was particularly involved with the New Forest Show Tent. She even came in to help in 2009 although incapacitated by a stroke. Her contribution and advice and ready smile will be a great loss to us all. Sheelah was a very talented weaver and loved dyeing her own fibre, in fact when taken to hospital with her latest stroke she left a pot boiling on the stove which her daughter Teresa had to rescue! Teresa is a member of the London guild and continues the family involvement with fibre crafts.
